This mold will then create an accurate replica of your teeth from composite resin or porcelain material that will become your veneers.
Depending on the kind of dental veneer suggested, we might have to remove a small portion of the tooth’s surface enamel to make room for the restoration. For many patients, there are low-prep veneer options available that call for little to no enamel removal. After we have cleaned and prepared your teeth, we take digital scans and start the smile design procedure.
After this, we will send the scans and molds to make the veneers. Once we get them, you will return to the office to fit them into your teeth.
Types of Veneers
Porcelain: Porcelain veneers are more substantial and last longer with proper oral hygiene care. This veneer material will last up to fifteen years with the appropriate care necessary. Porcelain looks like regular teeth and is less likely to stain throughout the years.
Composite Resin: Composite Resin requires only one visit to the dentist’s office when getting applied. These types of veneers tend to last for 5-7 years. If resin veneers happen to chip, they are a fortunate easy fix!
